Montreal

Montreal

My son James chose to go to university in Montreal, and was eventually offered training for a job and accommodation there by the father of his girlfriend. In October 2021, in Covid times, on my way back to hermetic Hong Kong from London I had to spend three "washout" weeks in a relatively non-risky country before returning so I decided to pay a visit to see James in Montreal. He showed me around his adopted city and spent a couple of days just walking around and catching up after not having seen each other for two years. I was struck by Montreal's walkability and greenness, if less so by poutine, chips with cheese curds and gravy.
